About the Author

My name is Xavier Cruzado, born in Barcelona on June 15, 1968, at the height of the social upheaval. The book falls within the genre of fictional crime novels on a historical basis. The work has a very visual and personal writing style, inspired by the world of conspiracy and police thrillers, and pays tribute to authors such as Dan Brown and Ian Fleming, whose works have influenced me. The story is framed in the corrupt plot within political and ecclesiastical power, both under the same shadow power. Under multiple real events, I build a fictional story, but always keeping the real and historical background that was lived at the time in which it is developed. All the public figures that are reflected in the novel and the events in which they are involved, are real and can be consulted through the newspaper archives of the time. After 3 months of research, in which I had the great pleasure and honor of telling With the help of the best Spanish criminologist, Professor Vicente Garrido, between interviews with victims of abuse, police forces, etc., and after 4 more months of writing with total dedication, "Reino de Sombras" emerged.
